On April 12, representatives of the scientific community of Kazakhstan celebrate their professional holiday – the Day of Science Workers in Kazakhstan. This young professional holiday was established by Decree of the President of the Republic №164 of October 20, 2011.
The date of the celebration was not chosen by chance. This day is associated with the birthday of the person who was at the origins of the organization of scientific activity in Kazakhstan. We are talking about academician K.I. Satpaev, the first President of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, who headed it in 1946. This man devoted almost his entire life to science and its development in his native Republic. The celebration of the Day of Science Workers in Kazakhstan was timed to coincide with his birthday.

On this day, scientific events were held at the departments of the Kazakh National University of Arts, and the library prepared a book exhibition “Kazakh Ulttyk Oner Universiteti okytushylarynyn gylymi-adistemelik enbekterі” for the day of science, which reveals the achievements of the science of the university. The exhibition is intended for students, undergraduates and teachers of the university, as well as a wide range of readers interested in the achievements of modern science. The role of science in the development of the country and the people is of great importance, therefore, the holiday is actively supported at the state level.

On April 13, the reporting concert of the Kazakh National University of Arts took place, this concert was visited by the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abaev Dauren Askerbekovich. For this event, the exhibition “Ult Onerin Ulyktagan Orda” was also prepared, which presents the scientific works of scientists and teachers of the university in all areas of training. These are monographs, textbooks and teaching aids, interuniversity collections of scientific articles, materials of republican and international scientific-practical conferences, annual works of master’s and student readings, collections of Boranbaev readings and a series “Kazakhstan. Oner. Tulga” bio-bibliographic indexes about scientists-teachers. Undoubtedly, the results of the research work of our university make a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstani science in the field of culture and art. Culture and art are an integral part of human life. We all just need to turn to scientific works that will help us navigate the directions and types of art.

All books presented at the exhibition are available in the reading room and on library subscriptions for staff, undergraduates and students.
